How is Buying from a Preloved Shop Different from Facebook Marketplace?

Shopping preloved isn't a new concept and it is a great one for many reasons, but what is the difference between buying from a preloved shop like Linen for Littles and buying from a random person on Facebook Marketplace?

Inspection

When you buy from a preloved shop, your items are inspected by an unbiased pair of eyes (often more than once!). "GUC" and "EUC" can be subjective terms and what someone thinks about their items may not be accurate. You may come across items on Marketplace that are advertised as being in "good used condition," but may have minor stains, holes, pilling, etc. With Linen for Littles, our regular items are stain-free, hole-free, and pill-free. In our Play Condition section, we post items with minor imperfections that are described for you so there are no surprises!

Packaging

On Facebook Marketplace, you will likely get a grocery bag, box, or garbage bag with items thrown in haphazardly. They are likely to be unwashed and unfolded. When you buy from a preloved shop, your items are nicely folded and packaged often with a personalized note!

Convenience

When you buy on Facebook Marketplace, you will often find yourself messaging back and forth several times to agree on a price, arrange pick-up and payment, etc. Shopping with a preloved shop is super convenient as you simply purchase from the website and pick up your order when it's ready! Or if you prefer, you have it delivered or shipped right to you!

Satisfaction

If you aren't satisfied with your purchase on Marketplace, you are out of luck. But with Linen for Littles, you have 14 days to request a refund if your items don't fit or for any other reason!

So if you love buying preloved, we are the place to do it and we so appreciate your support of our small, local business!
